At Asmara Children’s Center, we believe every child deserves a healthy start in life. Our healthcare program provides vital medical services including immunizations, regular check-ups, treatment for illnesses, and nutritional support to vulnerable children in Baraa-Kwa-Mrefu Village. Many of these children face preventable diseases and chronic malnutrition due to poverty – we intervene with compassionate care that addresses both immediate needs and long-term wellbeing. Our on-site clinics and mobile health units ensure even the hardest-to-reach children receive quality treatment.
Beyond curing sickness, we focus on prevention and health education. Mothers and caregivers learn essential practices like proper hygiene, balanced diets, and early symptom recognition. We’ve vaccinated over 500 children annually, reduced malaria cases by 40% in our community, and provide deworming treatments quarterly. This holistic approach – combining treatment, prevention and education – helps break cycles of poor health so children can grow, learn, and thrive. Our medical team knows each child by name and follows their progress year after year, because healthy children become empowered adults who can transform their communities.
